When Michael Alig created Shampoo as the V.I.P. club for the Limelight the first person hired to promote was me. After a while as the club was able to get a crowd in on Saturday nights I was let go but he kept Lady Bunny. I was at the time more expensive then her. Saturday evenings were a gas because Bunny would come over my place and hang out and make guest list phone calls with me. I had two telephone lines in my loft so we worked from opposite ends of the apartment. I probably never even thought of making it into a dinner party at the time.
